Intro to Gymnastics – A TRANSITIONAL CLASS FROM PRESCHOOL CLASS TO MAIN FLOOR CLASSES This class is an introduction to gymnastics, working on the fundamentals of building strength, flexibility, and learning the shapes needed for each apparatus, Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor.
Beginner Gymnastics class will work on all gymnastics equipment- Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor and Trampoline and will last 55 minutes. This is a class designed for students new to the sport of gymnastics . Students will work on skills and drills performed by the competitive level 1/2 teams. Our goal is to challenge and teach the students the skills they see the competition team competing without the obligation of team.
Intermediate Gymnastics class will work on all gymnastics equipment- Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor and Trampoline and will last 1hr and 15 minutes. This is a class designed for students who have all the basic skills in the program and sport of gymnastics and are continuing their goals in gymnastics. Students will work on skills and drills performed by the competitive level 2/3 team. Our goal is to challenge and teach the students the skills they see the competition team competing without the obligation of team.
Advanced Gymnastics class is an advanced level class that is pre-team for our Competitive Gymnastics Team. ATHLETES MUST HAVE BEEN EVALUATED BY A DIRECTOR TO REGISTER FOR THIS CLASS
Boys Classes
Recreational Gymnastics for Boys – This class will introduce boys to all Men’s Gymnastics equipment and develop strength, flexibility, and skills. This class is designed to bring awareness of the sport of Men’s gymnastics to our gym
Cheer / Tumbling
Intro to Tumbling students will work and master the following skills: Forward Roll, Backward Roll, Cartwheels, head stand, Bridge, Cartwheel, Push Up to a Backbend
Level 1 tumbling focuses on: handstands, back roll to push up, both side cartwheels, round off, and back limber, back limber kickover, handstand forward roll, back roll extension, front limber.
Level 2/3 tumbling focuses on: All of the Level 1 Skills PLUS 2 front walkovers connected, round off 3 back handsprings and multiple standing back handsprings in a row.
Preschool Classes
Leaping Lizard with My Grown Up is designed for children who are age 2 who can participate with parent assistance. This class will focus mostly on motor skill development by increasing muscle memory, body awareness, muscle control, and the beginning basics of Gymnastics and Tumbling. This is a 30-minute class.
Moving Monkeys is designed for children who are age of 3 who can participate without parent assistance. This class will focus mostly on motor skill development by increasing muscle memory, body awareness, muscle control, and the beginning basics of Gymnastics and Tumbling. This class will work on all Gymnastics equipment – Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor, and Trampoline and is a 45-minute class.
Jungle Gymmies is designed for children who are age 4 who are ready to build further on previously learned skills. This class will focus mostly on motor skill development by increasing muscle memory, body awareness, muscle control, and the refining the basics of Gymnastics and Tumbling. This class will work on all Gymnastics equipment – Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor, and Trampoline and is a 45-minute class.
Ninja
Ninja Level 1 (Boys Only); Ages 5-11 Will learn fusion of gymnastics, martial arts, freestyle movement, and obstacle training. Lessons include progressions of skills, progress reports, and a leveling-up system.
Ninja Level 2 (Boys Only); Ages 7-12 Will learn advanced fusion of gymnastics, martial arts, freestyle movement, and obstacle training. Lessons include progressions of skills, progress reports, and a leveling-up system.
School Squads
School Squads that train at Zee’s and/or with our experienced staff. We work tumbling, stunting and jumping. Our staff can also work on choreography, dances and routine development and perfection.
– All Students should wear skin tight clothing for safety and spotting reasons. Either a gymnastics leotard or shorts and t-shirt that is not loose fitting.
– Hair should be pulled and tied back away from the face.
– Gymnastics Students must be bare-foot to get on the equipment.
– Tumbling Students may where cheer shoes or may be bare-foot.
– We ask that students bring a water bottle with them to class. We have a water station for filling water bottles.
